The poll was conducted by telephone October 25-29, 2018, among a random national sample of 1,000 adults.2.
Interviews were conducted in English and Spanish using live interviewers.3.
The margin of sampling error for results is plus or minus 3 percentage points for the full sample and plus or less for subgroups.4.
Interviewers identified themselves as either Democrats or Republicans and answered questions using a landline telephone, cell phone, or Internet (both mobile and landline).5.
The survey was sponsored by the Kaiser Family Foundation and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.6.
The respondents for this survey were asked whether they support the Affordable Care Act, the Affordable Health Care Act (ACA), or the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Reconciliation Act (PPACA).7.

The questions about the ACA included the following: How much does it cost for you to stay healthy?
Do you think it’s a good thing to have the government provide insurance to all Americans, or do you think that it’s better to have insurance for some people, and less for others?
Do the government subsidies help pay for the insurance, or are they just for people who have high-deductible policies?
How much do you spend on your health insurance?
Do other people’s health insurance plans cost more, or less, than yours?
What would you like to see happen with the Affordable Healthcare Act, PPACA, and the Patient Safety and Affordable Health Plans Act (PSAH)?10.
The next question asked respondents to rate their personal health care insurance.11.
The last question was for those who had an annual income of $50,000 to $75.00, $50.00 to $100,000, and $100.00 or more.12.
The results are based on responses that were received by telephone.
