Ford has announced a new hiring plan, but a key question remains: How many people will be hired?
“Ford has to hire a lot more people, but that’s not an easy task,” said Bill Bajarin, president of Automotive News, a consulting firm.
“Ford is very much in the business of making cars.
It has to make them better.
It’s not like they’re going to be able to just roll out the red carpet to people they already have.”
Bajarnas new report shows Ford needs to hire at least 15,000 more drivers per year in order to keep pace with the rapid growth of the U.S. auto market.
That’s far more than any other automaker, and more than what Ford currently employs.
The company employs almost 5.4 million people globally, but it’s not just the U, Canada, Australia and Europe that need to fill the gap.
Ford is struggling to attract new hires and needs to build its presence in the U., which accounts for just 5.2 percent of its global workforce.
Bajars latest survey finds that the company’s driverless-car project is only one of the factors that has the company needing to hire an extra 15,500 drivers per month.
Bijarin said Ford needs at least 5,000 employees to maintain its current pace of hiring.
“The other big factor is the auto industry is exploding,” Bijarnas said.
“It’s changing faster than the auto manufacturing industry, which has been around for a long time.
And it’s expanding at a much faster pace than the rest of the automotive industry.”
Ford needs the new hires to help drive its business, and it needs them to do so quickly, because of the huge investment needed to get its self-driving cars to market.
Ford already has a fleet of nearly 2,000 self-propelled cars, and Ford has said it expects to sell 2,500 of its vehicles by 2021.
It is expected to have more than 10,000 fully autonomous vehicles on the road by the end of 2020.
“We need the next 15,00 people to do the work of Ford in the next two years,” Bajarins said.
Ford needs people who will be involved in developing the cars and will be paid on the spot, and that is a challenge for any company.
Baidu said it needs a certain level of knowledge and experience to be a good fit for Ford, but the company also needs to have a good understanding of the technology that the cars will be using.
“I think we have a pretty good understanding what Ford is doing, but we need to learn more about it,” said Baiduj, the chief executive officer of Baidudu.
“If we want to get the right people, we need the right knowledge.”
Ford is not alone in having to work with new technology to develop its self driving cars.
The carmaker also needs help from other automakers, and Bajas report comes just a day after Volvo unveiled its new self-learning car, called Volvo Cruise.
Volvo Cruise is the first self-driven car to hit the market and will go on sale next year.
Volvo has partnered with Google and Apple to help build the car.
Bajiars report notes that Ford has a lot of autonomy in its cars, but Bijarins report notes the company is still struggling to build up a significant number of employees.
“You need to get people who are skilled, who have a certain amount of knowledge,” Bajiarins stated.
“There is a real challenge for the Ford to be an autonomous car company.
We have a long way to go, but I think we’re on the right track.”
Ford may have the best chance to build a mass market vehicle, but its competitors may be able be far more successful.
